Technology of Meltblown
In the meltblown nonwoven production the polymer is extruded through the screw extruder and blow into a special beam after having been melt-heated. Then the melted polymer is draw into micro fine fiber by a high velocity hot gas stream or other methods to form web on a collecting board. Comparing with conventional nonwoven processing methods, meltblown technology has characters of advanced technology, short process, easy-accessible of materials and low costs. By meltblown technology, the nonwoven is formed with super fine fibers (diameter 1-10 μm), which contributes to a large surface area, small pore but high pore rate per unit size. Its application features of filtration, barrier, thermal insulation and oil absorbency show advantages over other products.
Characters and Applications
Our product is PP meltblown nonwoven, with the weight of 10-150 gram per square meters, which can be widely applied in the following fields:
1) Medical & Sanitary
By combining meltblown with spunbond, the nonwoven products has the advantages of high tensility, comfortable handle, efficient barrier against bacteria and air permeable but blood proof, which can help reduce cross infections, dirt and fly fall off and thus to provide a perfect surgical operation condition. It makes the nurse work convenient and reduces the cost of store and change. It can be widely used in first aid bandage, surgical operation hole towel, maternity bag, women sanitary towel and diapers, etc.
2) Thermal Filling Layers for Garment
As the meltblown nonwoven web is formed with super fine fibers, it has the property of soft handle, small hole diameter and high pore rate per unit size. It is light, permeable and wind-resistant, which makes it good as warm keeping material for garment.
3) Air Filtration Material
The diameter of the meltblown micro fiber is between 1-10μm. The fiber lays stochasically and disorderly forming the web, getting a large surface area per unit size and small hole diameter, which results in a high filtration capacity. This sort of materials can be applied on the fields of air filtration, water filtration, oil filtration and water-oil separation, etc.
4) Oil Absorbent Materials
Most meltblown nonwoven fabric is made from PP materials, which is lipophilic itself. Additionally, because of high pore rate and large surface area per unit, it is a perfect oil absorbent material, which can absorb oil by 17-20 times the eight of its own. So, oil absorbent felt and oil filtration filling can be made with meltblown nonwoven facbrics. They can be widely used in oil-water separation, environment protection and port protection. |
